Caterpillar introduces the Cat® MH3032 Material Handler

Caterpillar® has expanded its material handler lineup with the introduction of the 30-metric-ton MH3032, a next-generation machine designed for scrap, waste, and recycling applications. Positioned between the MH3026 andMH3040 in the Caterpillar range, the 79,000-pound MH3032 delivers a maximum reach of 46.2 feet and a working height of 50.8 feet. It’s powered by a 201-horsepower Cat® C7.1 diesel engine and comes standard with a Cat orange peel grapple capable of handling 1.2 square yards.

The MH3032 emphasizes efficiency, safety, and operator comfort. It includes a suite of advanced technologies such as Cat Payload, which monitors lift weights and tonnage output in real time; Cat 2D E-fence, which restricts arm movement to a safe working area; and Swing Assist, which automatically stops swing motion at preset points. An in-cab monitor displays dual external camera views to enhance visibility and hazard awareness.

Bassem Ibrahim, Caterpillar ANZP Product and Sales Consultant, explains, “Material handling is all about efficiency—moving and sorting waste, scrap, or recycling quickly and safely with minimal fuel and effort. That’s the core of our next-gen architecture.”

Caterpillar began manufacturing material handlers in 1998 and now offers eight models, with the MH3032 reflecting the latest advancements in machine design and operational productivity.

Alongside this, Caterpillar has introduced eight new next generation Cat Skid Steer Loader (SSL) and Compact Track Loader (CTL) models. The SSL range now includes the 250, 260, 270, and 270 XE, while the CTL family expands with the 275, 275 XE, 285, and 285 XE—joining the 255 and 265 models announced in late 2023. The 285 and 285 XE are the largest CTLs Caterpillar has ever produced, offering unmatched lift height and breakout force in their class.

These next generation loaders are a complete redesign from the ground up, building on the popular D3 series with enhanced engine power, torque, lift and tilt breakout forces, and operator comfort. Caterpillar has also simplified its model naming: all SSLs now end in ‘0’ and CTLs in ‘5’, with the middle digit representing machine size. This makes machine identification easier while aligning with Caterpillar’s updated product strategy.

“We are excited to launch the next generation design for our skid steer loader line and expand the performance capabilities to more compact track loader models,” said Trevor Chase, senior product consultant and new product introduction lead for Caterpillar. “Their increased power, lift height, breakout forces, rated operating capacity and multiple high-flow auxiliary hydraulic system options give customers a flexible, high-performance machine to get the job done.”

To help customers get more from their equipment investment, Cat Financial is also offering 0% interest financing for 24 months* on Cat Certified and Dealer rebuilds—whether secured or unsecured.
