For more than twenty years, Bel has been implementing sustainability and circular economy globally, in government, business and with community. Bel loves working within the wave of Australian changemakers transforming the way we think about, and value materials.
Bel has led circular economy for the London School of Economics, The GPT Group, ALDI Supermarkets Australia and Australia Post – underpinned and complimented by her experience working in, and with Local Government and the recycling industry.
Now Director and Principal Consultant of BC Consulting, she specialises in implementation and education to make circular economy real.
Bel was recognised for her legacy as a long-standing expert, named Planet Ark’s Australian Circular Leader 2023, is a judge for the Banksia and APCO Awards, and is a mentor for Boomerang Labs.
Bel thrives on making circularity accessible for everyone; being regularly invited by media to interpret as an expert ‘Garbologist’ and has a fortnightly residency on ABC Radio Nightlife, with her own program ‘Waste Not, Want Not’ broadcast Friday evenings, all around Australia.
