Dr. Dai Forterre is a seasoned sustainability and international affairs professional with global experience across government, business, and civil society.
Late last year Dai was appointed Chief Representative of Melbourne’s recently launched Netherlands Business Support Office (NBSO-Melbourne.)
In addition, he is an affiliate of Monash Sustainable Development Institute and Adjunct-Professor of Luiss Business School (Amsterdam.)
Much of his research is on the cross-roads of sustainable performance, value chain governance and technology adoption.
Before that, he was the program leader for Responsible Business Conduct (RBC) at the Netherlands Ministry of Economic Affairs in The Hague and a senior economic policy officer at the Netherlands Embassy in Canberra.
Earlier in his corporate career, he was responsible for Corporate Sustainability programs and teams in the logistics industry and sporting goods sectors working across the Asian-Pacific and Europe.
He holds a PhD in Management Engineering from Politecnico di Milano (IT.) and graduate degrees in Management (Durham, UK) and International Relations (Amsterdam, NL.)
