Dr Simran Talwar

Simran leads the Resource Stewardship research program at ISF and is Research Director with expertise in circular economy, product stewardship and extended producer responsibility. With over 13 years of research and industry experience in circular economy, policy, and business strategy. Simran has delivered many successful projects with the Commonwealth, state governments and industry, providing leadership and sectoral expertise in plastics, chemicals, mining and packaging. Simran is Program Lead for the Solving Plastic Waste CRC, which has secured $40 million funding from the Australian Government to further research and industry collaboration for plastics and the circular economy, over a 10-year period from 2024-2034.
