Pene Mitchell

Penelope is a research fellow in circular economy (CE) within the National Centre for Timber Durability and Design Life, which is part of the Forest Research Institute. As project lead for the Timber Circularity Project, Pene is investigating pathways for end-of-life preservative treated timber and engineered wood products. Ensuring timber is cycled or cascaded through multiple life cycles is an important step in integrating timber into a circular bioeconomy.
